As you are probably already aware fire is a killer and spreads amazingly fast, the quicker you get out of a burning building the more chance you have of staying alive. If you are an employer you have to put the necessary fire precautions in place by law. A Voice Evacuation system can be used as a fire safety system and is highly recommended, they are also known as VACIE. They have become quite popular in recent years and in many countries they are normally a mandatory requirement. Voice Evacuation alarms are not usually as loud as horns or bells and usually sound an alarm tone and a voice message warning that an emergency has been reported and to evacuate the building, usually mentioning not to use elevators. Voice Evacuation systems can also be used by personnel to give specific information and/or instructions over the alarm system at the same time. These very effective systems are not expensive and can even be obtained on line.
